Covenants
Very few words in the English language have such diverse uses and meanings ranging from application in religion to law. The term covenant has a rich history and has been applied by the authors of our textbook to the online learning environment.
This online learning module on covenants is the result of hard work by the expert group comprised of George Williams, Edy Yoro, and myself (Dave Sabol). It is our hope that you find the material meaningful and useful as you begin to apply your learning in a live online learning environment.
Objective:
Upon completion of this module on covenants, the participant will be able to define what a covenant is, describe its use/usefulness in an online learning environment and the essential ingredients that go into constructing a learning covenant. Obtention of the objective will be demonstrated through the creation of a covenant for their own class that is consistent with the material presented here and assessed via a rubric as well as scoring at least 80% (4 out of 5 questions correct) on an end of module assessment.
